Dwyer Workforce Development (DWD) is a national nonprofit based in Baltimore, Maryland focused on providing healthcare job training to alleviate healthcare workforce shortages and improve the lives of seniors by ensuring there are healthcare workers to care for this growing population.
DWD chose Texas for its first expansion because of the state’s large workforce, a supportive legislative and funding environment for workforce development, and DWD’s ownership of Wellsential Health’s portfolio of 67 skilled nursing facilities across the state.
The Monument Group generates earned media and nontraditional media to tell the story of the organization’s impact on communities and coordinates opportunities for DWD leadership to participate in key policy conversations and regional collaborations, including serving on Governor Abbott’s Healthcare Workforce Task Force. Our team has established a strong brand and community presence, facilitating introductions to key stakeholders and education and nonprofit partners. Our team also closely coordinates with DWD’s lobby team to advocate for workforce funding in Texas.
