JD is a seasoned public relations strategist with 25 years of experience shaping high-impact communications and legislative strategies for Fortune 500 companies, global corporations, and the highest levels of government.

At Edelman, JD directed communication strategies, managing cross-functional teams to drive corporate reputation and advocacy campaigns for major clients. Prior to Edelman, he spent 15 years at ExxonMobil, providing public and government affairs support across its corporate, upstream, downstream, chemical, and global affiliates.

JD began his career in Texas, working on George W. Bush’s re-election campaign for governor, both U.S. presidential campaigns, and in the White House. He holds degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business.
